Road discipline, understood as compliance with the city’s traffic and parking regulations, is fundamental to achieving a smooth flow of traffic.

Barcelona City Council's Department of Prevention, Security and Mobility is tasked with promoting and developing awareness of road safety regulations among all residents. These efforts are made alongside those of the Guàrdia Urbana (municipal police force) and the Municipal Towing Service, the latter of which is managed by B:SM’s Corporate Management of Mobility Services division.

Barcelona de Serveis Municipals, S.A. optimises the services provided to the Barcelona City Council through this tool for traffic regulation, playing a crucial role in controlling road indiscipline and by providing other related services.

Today, B:SM has 50 tow trucks and five vehicle compounds.
