At B:SM, we have built and currently manage over 50 car parks, distributed throughout Barcelona, in order to facilitate parking for residents, companies and daily commuters to the city alike.
Our mission is to help improve mobility by providing a range of transport options at origin and by controlling demand at destination.
To do so, we provide a network of car parks with over 17,000 short-stay and permit parking spaces across all of the city's districts, exclusive car parks for residents, where spaces can be allocated on a 50-year basis, and car parks for coaches, where these vehicles can be parked by hour or by the day or permits can be purchased.

In order to offer residents the fairest prices for parking, in 1994, Barcelona de Serveis Municipals was the first company to introduce 15-minute parking rates across our entire car park network. In 2002, we reduced this time unit to 5 minutes, a move that was very well received by users and later adopted by other car park operators.
In July 2006, we took this a step further and introduced the new pay-by-minute parking, which means that customers only pay for the duration of their stay. And not a minute more.
By introducing this measure, we were able to remain one step ahead of the consumer protection law which establishes pay-by-minute parking.
